HOW WE MEASURE

first off, grab your favorite t-shirt, a measuring tape, and find a flat surface to measure on. lay the tee out flat, smoothing out the fabric to remove all slack.
neck : the width of neck opening from left neck seam to right neck seam at the shoulder's highest point.
shoulder : the width from left to right where sleeve meets shoulder seam.
chest : the width of chest, starting 1" below the armhole.
sleeve : the length of the outside of the sleeve from shoulder seam to bottom of cuff.
length : the length from where the shoulder meets neck to the bottom of the hem, measured from the front of the garment.

It is loaded with quality details including a shank button fly, oxidized rivets, chain-stitched embroidery, a selvedge locker loop inside the back waist and selvedge outseams. So when you turn up the cuff, you’ll see the giveaway red ticking on the edge. Crafted from a Japanese Selvedge denim that is spun on old-fashioned shuttle looms, this is woven from a natural white cotton yarn that hasn’t been dyed, so the color is more of an off-white. The weight is an ounce lighter than our typical jean making it a chic choice for spring-summer.

The Slim Fit Destroyed Jean has all the quality and vintage-inspired design details of our Selvedge jeans but in a unique Stretch Fabric that will convert even the most resolute denim purist . (Try it, you’ll like it). The Destroyed Jean is in a mid-blue wash but baked and sanded to simulate the effect of years of natural wear-and-tear with abrasions and holes popping up where they typically would. Classic details include antique copper rivets, chain stitching on the coin pocket, a suede-embossed patch on the back and TS embroidery on the wearer’s right side. Our creative director Jim Moore reminded Todd of the timeless appeal of the boatneck, and this new style for us is the result. Taking as its inspiration the classic French mariner’s shirt, Todd has given it a refresh in the blue-green pattern. The cut is boxy with traditional side vents. The fabric is solid yet soft 100% cotton that is imported from Japan. Fun Fact: the stripes on this shirt owe their origin to a shirt worn by the French Navy featuring 21 stripes, one for each of Napoleon Bonaparte's victories. They also helped spot wayward sailors who had fallen overboard.
