When White Oak shut down in 2017, we grabbed as much OG denim as we could. We’re on our last few rolls. Since then, I’ve been on a mission, connecting to the most hallowed denim mills on the planet, searching for the right one to make our new OG.
I found it in Japan — Nihon Menpu.
This jean is that the same weight, same feel, similar look; so much so that when you see them you’ll say “I love those OG’s!”, but when you look closer, the warp yarns have a little more slub, and the weave is a little looser, the selvage line has one thread of red, and the dark indigo is a little warmer.
This new OG is the brother to the the first og.
Not a twin, not a copy.
It celebrates the place and the people who make it the same way the Cone OG did. Made only for us by Nihon Menpu, one of the legendary mills located in prestigious denim haven the city of Ibara in Japan’s Okayama Prefecture.

HOW WE MEASURE

first off, grab your favorite t-shirt, a measuring tape, and find a flat surface to measure on. lay the tee out flat, smoothing out the fabric to remove all slack.
neck : the width of neck opening from left neck seam to right neck seam at the shoulder's highest point.
shoulder : the width from left to right where sleeve meets shoulder seam.
chest : the width of chest, starting 1" below the armhole.
sleeve : the length of the outside of the sleeve from shoulder seam to bottom of cuff.
length : the length from where the shoulder meets neck to the bottom of the hem, measured from the front of the garment.
